Silvia Hennig

Silvia Hennig is the founder and CEO of Neuland 21, a young think & do tank that has set out to reinvent rural life for the 21st century. By building on the potential of digitization to bridge spatial gaps and create new synergies between urban and rural communities, the organization researches, develops and implements innovative solutions that help maintain quality public services and crucial infrastructure for mobility, health care, local goods supply, and community life in remote and sparsely populated areas. Before founding Neuland 21, Silvia spent several years as a policy adviser for innovation and digital policy at the European Parliament in Brussels, the German Ministry for Labor and Social Affairs in Berlin, and the OECD in Paris. She is a member of Think Tank 30. Silvia holds a masters’ degree in History and German Literature from the University of Potsdam and an MPP from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
