Emrah Ertem

Emrah Ertem wurde 1979 in der Türkei geboren, ist in Wermelskirchen (NRW) aufgewachsen, und ist 1998 direkt nach dem Gymnasium in die Medienbranche eingestiegen. Er war als Angestellter in drei verschiedenen renommierten Casting-Agenturen tätig, bevor er sich 2001 selbstständig machte. In mittlerweile über 20 Jahren als Casting-Director zeigt sich Emrah Ertem für die Besetzung von zahlreichen namhaften und sehr erfolgreichen deutschen und internationalen TV- und Kinoproduktionen verantwortlich, u.a. alle Til Schweiger Kinofilme seit „Keinohrhasen“ bis einschliesslich „Honig im Kopf“, alle Kinoproduktionen von Matthias Schweighöfer seit „What a man“ bis „Der Nanny“, weitere deutsche Kinofilme wie z.B. „Nur Gott kann mich richten“, „Lommbock“, „Simpel“, „Hilfe ich habe meine Lehrerin geschrumpft“, „Hexe Lilli“, zuletzt „Traumfabrik“ von Tom Zickler, „Professor T“ im ZDF, „Der Auftrag“ für die Degeto, die NETFLIX-Serie „Syklines“, sowie u.a. die internationalen Kinoproduktionen „Der Medicus“ mit Sir Ben Kingsley und „Eleanor & Colette“ mit Hilary Swank.

Emrah Ertem was born in 1979 in Turkey, grew up in Wermelskirchen (North Rhine-Westphalia) and entered the media industry directly after finishing secondary school in 1998. He worked as an employee in three different, renowned casting agencies before going into business for himself in 2001. Over the course of what’s now more than 20 years as a casting director, Emrah Ertem has been responsible for the casting of numerous notable and highly successful German and international TV and cinema productions. These include all Til Schweiger movies since “Rabbit Without Ears”, up to and including “Head Full of Honey”; all Matthias Schweighöfer cinema productions since “What a man”, up to and including “The Manny”; other German cinema films such as “Nur Gott kann mich richten” [“Only God Can Judge Me”], “Lommbock”, “Simpel” [“Simple”], “Hilfe ich habe meine Lehrerin geschrumpft” [“Help, I Shrunk My Teacher”], “Lilly the Witch”, and most recently “Traumfabrik” [“Dream Factory”] by Tom Zickler, “Professor T” on ZDF, “Der Auftrag” [“The Job”] for Degeto and the NETFLIX series “Skylines”. Recent international cinema productions include “The Physician” with Sir Ben Kingsley as well as “55 Steps” with Hilary Swank.
