Anton Kurt Krause was born in Magdeburg in 1986. He founded the  ‘Improv(is)e your life’ theatre festival in 2004, spent a year working as an assistant director at the Altmark Theatre and from 2008 to 2011 he studied Directing under Luk Perceval at the Academy of Performing Arts in Baden-Württemberg. Anton Kurt Krause has been an assistant director at Thalia since the 2011/12 season, where he has worked with the likes of Jan Bosse, Stefan Pucher, Nicolas Stemann and Jette Steckel. Alongside his own productions at Thalia, such as the monologue series ‘Schöner Scheitern’ at Nachtasyl, Anton Kurt Krause staged the pilot episode of Thalia soap ‘Rennbahn der Leidenschaft’ and also produced the classroom play that premiered during the 2014 "Lessingtage". Together with the machina eX collective and the theatre of Leipzig he worked on a live point and click adventure. He lives in Berlin and his shows are seen in Leipzig, Cali(Columbian), Dresden, Hamburg and Berlin. Since 2018 he studies the master program “Spiel&&Objekt” at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst “Ernst Busch”.
