What’s new at #rp19?
This year we have some exciting updates for you. Besides additional formats you can look forward to more locations thus to an even more comprehensive programme on a total of 27 stages.
STATION Berlin remains the heart of #rp19. Here you will find numerous stages, our partner exhibition area and the MEDIA CONVENTION Berlin. There are many places besides the stages to discover here, such as the Community Garden, the Kidspace, the Lightning Box, our re:aders corner, the re:cruiting area and the rp:International Space. Last but not least, the STATION Berlin is also where you’ll find the dancefloors in the evening!
Discover the new locations on the map of #rp19 here.
As the "green oasis" of #rp19, the Community Garden is entirely dedicated to this year’s main topic: Sustainability. Take part in our community meetups, build insect hotels, recharge your mobile phones with solar energy, experiment with sustainable technologies or relax between flower beds.
In the rp:International Space you can talk to international speakers in dedicated "Ask Me Anything" sessions. In the Community Garden you will also find our Makerspace, where you can tinker, code and design together.
Under the umbrella "re:publica Next Generation" we dedicate Kühlhaus to new formats and cooperations with and by young people and on education and training. TINCON will take place at the same time as #rp19. The education track “re:learn”, which has been part of our programme for ten years, will also take place at Kühlhaus. In 2019, re:publica will host its own career orientation and training fair “Jetpack” for the young digital generation.
B-Part Am Gleisdreieck
re:connection, Yoga, Podcasts and more: In our new location B-Part Am Gleisdreieck you can expect a diverse and interactive program with installations, lectures, panels and workshops on the topics “Podcats - Podcasting for the Meme Generation”, “EmanziTECH” and “The Human Touch”. You can repair your bikes at our bike station and try out digital technologies and machine tools for yourself in the Fabmobil.
To switch off in between times, the re:connection Space offers yoga and meditation sessions presented by the Berlin Yoga Conference.
At Deutsches Technikmuseum (German Museum of Technology) and in the adjacent museum park, historical sites and extensive areas provide space for new formats and contents. Combine craftsmanship with LED science in a jewellery workshop, take a tour at the old Bockswindmühle or take part in one of our many other workshops against a historical backdrop. During #rp19 our new Lokschuppen Stage will become a laboratory for fashiontech, mobility and culture. For the first time there will also be an Open Air Stage in the museum park where you can follow selected live streams from stages 1 and 2 and look forward to film screening - from Hi, AI and the Green Movie Night among others.
On May 7 and 8 our symposia on the topics "Events re:loaded" and "Digital Hemp" will take place at the Deutsches Technikmuseum. You can access the symposium "Digital Hemp" on May 8 with your #rp19 ticket without reservation.
