Digitale Technologien verändern die Gegenwart und Zukunft unserer Gesellschaft(en), Kultur(en) und Politik. Deshalb ist es wichtig diese Veränderungen zu nutzen, um alte Diskriminierungsmuster abzubauen und diese nicht zu reproduzieren. Die einander komplementären Forderungen nach einem erweiterten Zusammendenken von Emanzipation und Technik, mit mehr emanzipatorischen Inhalten im Internet, wie auch einem emanzipierteren Internet und nicht diskriminierenden KIs greifen wir in unserem EmanziTech Topic auf.
Mit dem Aufbrechen von Diskriminierungsmustern durch die Anwendung von neuen technischen Möglichkeiten, beschäftigt sich unter anderem Caroline Sinders. In der ehemaligen Männerdomäne von Coding und Computing ist ein Bewusstsein für Gender und Code ein drängendes Thema. Diesem nimmt sie sich mit ihrem 'Feminist Data Set' an und zeichnet so am ersten Tag der re:publica 19 die Utopie eines non-biased Internet. Wie andersrum (digitale) Technologien für mehr Gerechtigkeit in stigmatisierten Bereichen des Lebens von Frauen* genutzt werden können, stellt Alexis Hope am re:publica-Dienstag unter anderem mit ihrem “Make the Breast Pump Not Suck” Hackathon vor. Daran anknüpfend werden wir uns an der Schnittstelle von Technik, Körper(n) und Sexualität die Fragen stellen, wie technologische Fortschritte Einfluss auf unser Sexleben haben, welche Rolle Sprache in der Reproduktion von Diskriminierung hat und die Cyborgfrau transhumane Ansätze zu feministischen Emanzipierungsideen liefern kann.

1. Learning to use Open Source Hardware and Open Science to design and build Low-Cost Lab equipment.
2. Learning how to design 3D models and print as well as open and use accounts and access protocols such as GitHub, Open Science Framework etc.

The session will address the impossibility of decolonization, i.e., “I cannot decolonize my body.” By reinterpreting processes of colonial recovery through a performative and critical lens, we will arrive at notions of digital borders, the digital body and lastly, digital flesh.
