Diana Kinnert

Diana Kinnert, born in 1991 in Wuppertal, is a German politician for the CDU party, an adviser and entrepreneur in the field of media and green economy, and a political author and journalist.

Previously, Kinnert served as Chief of Staff of the Vice-President of the German Bundestag Peter Hintze. Additionally, she worked for the Chairman of the CDU Dr. Peter Tauber, regarding the reformation and digitalization of political parties. Kinnert was a member of the youth adivisory board of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation. Since 2012, she is supporting the Foundation for the Rights of Future Generations and fighting for intergenerational justice and sustainability. In 2013, Kinnert was selected as an ambassador for democracy for the German Department of foreign affairs in Northern Tunisia. She also got chosen by the prestigious St. Gallen Symposium as one of the Leaders of Tomorrow 2017.

As an adviser and entrepreneur in the field of media and green economy, Kinnert founded the news platform newsgreen.net in order to provide information about green and sustainable innovations and technologies. In addition, her first book talking about „modern conservatism“ was published in May 2017. Since September 2017, Kinnert writes a weekly column on politics and domestic affairs for ZEIT ONLINE, one of the biggest newspapers in Germany.

Kinnert earned her Bachelor degree in political science and philosophy at the University of Göttingen. She also holds an undergraduate certificate in social sciences from the University of Amsterdam.
