Thorsten Koch

Prof. Dr. Thorsten Koch is Professor for Software and Algorithms for Discrete Optimization at TU-Berlin and director of the Mathematical Optimization Methods and the Scientific Information departments at the Zuse Institute Berlin (ZIB). He has been working in many areas, especially planning of infrastructure networks, chip verification, mathematical education, integer programming, digital scientific publication, and long term preservation. He is also head of the Forschungs- und Kompetenzzentrum Digitalisierung Berlin, working on bringing the cultural heritage of Berlin into the digital space.
