Dr. Conny Weber is a Senior Researcher at the European Crowdfunding Network (Belgium) and teaches Financing Innovation at the Danube University Krems (Austria). Since the start of her career in 2006, her work and research topics have been mainly related to innovative business models and alternative financing instruments, enhancing access to finance for entrepreneurs and SMEs. Since 2012 she has authored and co-authored studies providing policy recommendations in the field of crowdfunding to public authorities, such as the Austrian Ministry of Economy and the European Commission.

She holds a degree in Information Science from Saarland University (Germany) and a PhD in Business Studies from Karl-Franzens University Graz (Austria).
