re:publica with Teens & Kids

re:publica is for everyone! Our youngest guests shape the digital society of tomorrow. The time at re:publica is supposed to be fun for children and young teens and to draw their interests. This year, in the Kidsspace you can tinker, play and code on all three re:publica days.

We offer talks for young heads, workshops for curious hands, toys, a quiet corner for dads, moms and toddlers and of course our famous ball pool. Children up to the age of 15 can participate for free! Please remember to bring a proof of age.

Programme

You can do magic with a green screen, program using a mouse or robot balls, paint analog pixels and much more. Click here for our "Teens & Kids” sessions, which you will find mainly in the Kidspace and Makerspace.

And everyone between the ages of 13 and 21 has probably already discovered the TINCON.

Babysitting

Thanks to our partner Holiday Sitters we are able to offer babysitting for the first time. Between 10 a.m till 6 p.m. parents have the opportunity to entrust their child to a Holiday Sitters babysitter every day for a few hours.

Please send for registration an email with the following filled PDF file to Galit Bauer (galitb at holiday-sitters.com):

Of course everyone who brings their kids to re:publica is welcome at the Kidspace without taking advantage of the the childcare service.

Equipment

Once again there will be beautiful wooden toys, soap bubbles, chalk, crayons and - true to the motto "too long, didn’t read" a whole library with (picture) books. For those who can’t get enough action on the playing carpets there is a ball pool in the yard and of course a huge re:publica to discover outside the Kids Space!

A quiet corner is available for small rests or nursing breaks. There are changing tables available.

Partners

We would like to thank our partners Weleda and Holiday Sitters, the cooperation partners Beltz Verlagsgruppe, Kosmos Verlag, Lillydoo, Klax Kreativwerkstatt, Susanne Mierau from Geborgen Wachsen and all those who offer a program compatible with children and young people at #rp19.
