Makerspace at #rp19!

We will once again host a makerspace at re:publica. Since 2014 this has been the meeting point for creative minds, designers, inventors and coders from the maker scene. Anyone who is interested in digital fabrication, laser cutting, tinkering or soldering is warmly welcome at the makerspace!

Here there's room for creativity, knowledge transfer and for you to create something new for our digital future with the other participants. With sustainability in mind, we want to use our makerspace to create big things that will continue to exist even after re:publica as well as small things that anyone can take home.

In our exciting workshops, exhibitions and installations you can develop your own robots, create a statement flag or a paper GIF, work on a sustainable biotech future with medical open source devices or design boats out of plastic waste.

The programme will take place on all three conference days in our makerspace. You will find the makerspace in the Community Garden of the STATION.

You can find more exciting programme in the black Fabmobil outside at the B-Part Am Gleisdreieck.

Highlight-Sessions of our Makerspace:

IoP – The Internet of Plants
In Search of Forgotten Colors
Augment Reality, making paper GIFs for storytelling
DIY 4Chord MIDI device
Clay 3D printing – Open source and collaborative product design in practice

Come over - design and build a sustainable digital future together!

As a member of the Distributed Design Market Plattform (DDPM), we design the Makerspace in cooperation with the Global Innovation Gathering (GIG), the network of open workshops Brandenburg, Cadus, Fabmobil, Precious Plastic, theFlipFlopy and the FabCity Store Paris.
