re:publica Next Generation

This year, re:publica will focus on the young generation more than ever before. „re:publica Next Generation“ takes place at KühlhausBerlin, showcases new formats by and for teenagers and highlights educational core areas as well.

TINCON

TINCON (teenageinternetwork conference) is a conference for the young digital society and could be labelled as re:publica’s younger sister. Founded in 2016, TINCON takes place at re:publica for the first time. Timing couldn’t be better, for usually TINCON is open for guests between the age of 13 and 21 only. But since re:publica is turning 13 this year, therefore entering the teenage age, TINCON’s main stage will be open to all re:publica visitors, presenting topics and speakers of a new generation. So drop by and hear them out!

You can find TINCON’s main stage program here.

At TINCON, young people discuss and present their very own topics – ranging from YouTube and Instagram, from science and politics to coding, transgender topics and, of course, activism. Some of the talks and workshops will be exclusive to young attendees, and TINCON’s forenoon program is tailored for visiting school classes.

Admission to TINCON is free, registration is requested. All registered participants under the age of 22 will have free access to re:publica as well.

Register for TINCON here and find all info about TINCON at tincon.org.

TINCON is organized by the non-profit TINCON e.V., which is funded by Robert-Bosch-Stiftung, Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth and ZEIT-Stiftung, amongst others.

re:learn

There’s no real need to introduce re:learn. For eleven years now, the educational track of re:publica is growing. Now, it finally gets the room(s) it deserves. For three days, re:learn will happen on two floors at KühlhausBerlin! Next to the „usual suspects“, we hope to gather new teachers at re:learn to catch up on latest educational trends and network with other professionals while their students check out TINCON.

Here’s the complete program of re:learn.

Jetpack

Jetpack is a new fair for the future world of work to provide information about new work opportunities for the young, digitally grown up generation. Next to exhibitor booths, there will be a workshop area and a stage for talks about those new opportunities and challenges alike.

Jetpack’s main partner in 2019 is Siemens AG.

Jetpack is open to all TINCON and re:publica attendees, all info can be found here.
