Aïda Khemiri, a DJ and digital rights activist, grew up in Tunisia and was always interested in technology, hacking the Internet, free information, and open source platforms. She is also the co-founder of Chouf, a Tunisian LBT organisation, and Mawjoudin, an LGBT Tunisian organisation and Geek&Queer, an initiative that promotes gender equality, access, and visibility of women and queer persons in media, technology and IT in the MENA region. She is also an organising member of Chouftouhonna, the International Arts Festival of Tunis and of Mawjoudin Queer Film Festival.
